  The boerewors is delicious..I tasted the lamb and beef version. Will surely be ordering the peri-peri and garlic type soon. everything was neatly packed and arrived in best condition. I ordered from Sweden and everything came within 5 days as promised. Best service....best quality....friendly owner!!! packed and arrived in best condition.   I’ve been meaning to let you know that your wors is probably the best I have ever had…. and I am one of the fussiest people I know. I used to travel miles in SA to get the right wors.   Hi Saffa Shop just dropping a message to say thanks for our order and the very generous extras. The cheese boerewors was really spectacular. We did a kilo for dinner on the charcoal in spite of the cold weather. We just could not wait and it was so so good.   In my opinion, Kit nailed it. Such a pleasure to have a taste of "home" at home. As I have already told Kit, the dry aged fillet's now are send to the Boerewors. I think that the pure beef offers certainly a different edge to the taste. It is clear that this is not the traditional version but in my opinion, as long as this continues to be offered, I will always have a few packs in the freezer to satisfy my fix when needed... there is no going back now.   We fried the new recipe Pure Beef boeries the pan on a medium to hot heat (6). It was fantastic. Much juicier than a normal thickness previous recipe.. Will rate this 5*. :) recipe.. Will rate this 5*. :)

  We enjoyed this lovely taste from home. We had an international audience at our braai and served an international selection of sausages. Both the beef and traditional boerewors were liked by all despite slight over cooking by the braaier and strong competition against Franconians finest sausages. We are looking forward to the next braai.   Test #3 - Electric grill 250°C: This time, we used our winter braai equipment when everything is under snow. In addition to boeries, I also added a chuck-eye steak onto the grill. 1 - Taste: As with yesterday, it was not too salty at all. The taste would was the same as yesterday, I liked it. Taste rating: 4.5*. 2 - Consistency: I still prefer a more chunky boerewors but find that I could get used to this finer feel. Maybe in a smaller sheep casing this would be better. Again, only 4*. 3 - Tenderness and juiciness: The outer edge of the electric grill gets much hotter than toward the center of the grill. The boeries stuck, just a little, to the grill the first time I turned it. The skin split exactly where it stuck (see Facebook photo) but t the boeries was still fine. Except for a thin layer olive oil brushed onto the surface of the grill, no other oil or fat was used. With my eyesight, maybe I missed a spot. Rating 4.5*. ------------ Summary: A good sausage. Improvements can be made as to a chunkier boeries. Can be made available for sale.   Test #2 - Charcoal braai: Today, I did the cooking and it was the turn of fire and coals. This time, the boeries was not overcooked (politically correct term for slightly burnt when your partner does it). 1 -Taste: In contrast to yesterday, it was not too salty at all. The taste would was pretty good, not overbearing but very pleasing to the palate. Obviously, not an explosive taste such as would be expected with more fat, but more of a mild and mellow flavour. I liked it. Taste rating: 4.5*. 2 - Consistency: I prefer a more chunky boerewors. This was minced a little too fine.Therefore only 4*. 3 - Tenderness and juiciness: A little dry but actually to be expected of an 80/20 mixture. Just before taking if from the grill, the skin did get a little hole, and a lot of juice escaped. Rating 4.5*. ------------> Summary: The only area that attention, IMO, is that a bigger die should be used -or- only mince it once.   Test #1 - Frying pan. This is my review of our Pure Beef Boerewors. Bear in mind that each person's taste is different. For example, I like fatty biltong that is quite wet and fatty lamb chops where the fat is braai'ed crispy. I am also not used to a pure beef boeries... more the beef/pork mix which has much more fat. ... We’ve just received the first 15kg of the Pure Beef Boerewors from the butcher and 3 things I notice are; 1 - Taste: To my taste, it tasted a little salty but was otherwise OK. A little more fat would have helped. My wife and both my sons thought it tasted fine and the sons asked for more. Rating: 3* 2 - Consistency: The butcher has made it a little too fine as compared to standard SA boeries. rating 4* 3 - Tenderness and juiciness: To me, it felt a little dry, but this is to be expected because it has only 20% fat. This might also have to do with the fact that it is not as chunky as what I am used to. I must also admit that I think my wife overcooked it a little and the skin burst.
